Veteran cue master Warren Kiamco settled for the third-place honors in the 2014 World 14.1 Championship held in New York City, US. The 45-year-old Kiamco lost to Darren Appleton of Great Britain, 116-200, in the semifinals to pocket the $2,800 consolation purse. German Thorsten Hohmann bagged the title after subduing Appleton in the finals, 300-299. Dennis Orcollo placed ninth overall for $1,000 consolation prize while Roberto Gomez was 17th for $300. Hohmann, who claimed his fourth World 14.1 crown, took home the $10,000 top prize while Appleton got $5,000.
