ZAMBOANGA CITY: Kidnappers freed the five-year old daughter of a government troop after her family paid a ransom. Officials said the girl was playing outside their house in Linamon town in Lanao del Norte when two men on a motorcycle snatched her over the weekend. The family paid P19,000 to her captors following a negotiation. The girl was held captive near the town of Balo-i and was handed over to her family and policemen by a former village leader and an ex-police officer who were tapped to secure the victim. The kidnappers were later identified only by their first name as Musa and Camal, who are residents of Iligan City. Police and military authorities were hunting down the two kidnappers.
