World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) two-time tag team champions The New Day promised Filipino wrestling fans an electrifying match in the WWE Live Manila on September 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

“We’ll gonna give our all, and we will keep our energy bouncing off the roof, and we will work on the experience you will never forget,” said The New Day’s Kofi Kingston in a statement released on Thursday.

“Fans were just electric,” Kingston described their first Philippine visit. “We’ve been to Manila before, I believe it was last year or two years ago? It’s just an amazing feeling because we don’t get back that often. Everybody’s just so excited and so welcoming, and so warm, and they’re over the top excited to see us.”

Xavier Woods promised Pinoy pro wrestling fans the “greatest show” they would ever see, “They should expect the greatest show they have ever seen in their lives, because it’s very different from watching television and being there watching in one of the front rows, you can feel the energy of the guys in the ring and the energy of the people around you who come to see the show,” said Woods.

The upcoming Manila event will banner WWE champion Big Show and John Cena.

The WWE’s first live show in the country was in 2009.

The other featured matches are world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins, Finn Balor against Chris Jericho, and Cesaro against Sheamus.

Charlotte will face Sasha Banks in the women’s championship match.

Sani Zayn, Kevin Owens, Golden Truth, The Shining Stars, Neville, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel will also be present in the latest Philippine edition of the WWE Live.
