Retired National Basketball Association (NBA) player Kobe Bryant will return to Manila next week to teach some invited young basketball players in his Kobe Academy entitled “The Mamba Mentality” starting on June 25 to 26.

Bryant, 37, who spent his 20-year career playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, scored 60 points in his last game against the Utah Jazz in April. The shooting guard Bryant also visited the country in several occasions but this will be the first time since his retirement.

There will be a Kobe Academy Pre-Camp basketball session on June 22 to 24, which event is organized by sportswear Nike. The basketball camp will help Filipino young basketball players to further strengthen up their skills and basketball mentality.

Those who will be selected will train with Bryant himself on June 26.

Filipino fans can look also to Bryant’s career legacy at the Araneta Coliseum.

Bryant, who averaged 25 points, 5.o rebounds and 4.7 assists in his 20-year career since started playing in 1996, is a five-time NBA champion (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 and 2010) and 18-time NBA All Star player.

The 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player is also a member of the US team which won Olympic gold medal in 2008 and 2012.
