Kraft Foods (Philippines) Inc. has officially changed its name to Mondelez Philippines Inc., making it a part of Mondeléz International, a new company created following the split of the global Kraft Foods Ltd. in October 2012, with a single focus, to create delicious moments of joy by sharing the world’s favorite brands.
In the Philippines for the past 50 years, Mondelez Philippines is the maker of world-loved brands and Filipino favorites: Tang, Eden Cheese, Cheez Whiz, Toblerone, Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Tiger Energy Biscuits and Halls candies.
Sudip Mall, Mondelez Philippines general manager, said that, “As a growth company, Mondeléz International has nearly 75 percent of global revenues in fast-growing snacks categories. I am confident that our local operation under Mondelez Philippines will continue to create delicious moments of joy for Filipinos. Our people are energized and highly optimistic about our new direction and the new opportunities that are certainly on the horizon.”
“Though our name has changed our brands, people, relationships and community interventions remain the same. We are strengthened by our new dream to create delicious moments of joy. This, we aim to do in all aspects of our business. Whether it is through a new affordable pack, by introducing a delicious flavor, or creating a community program that brings joy to others. Joy is what will drive us and motivate us,” he added.
Mondeléz International is a world leader in chocolate, biscuits, gum, candy, coffee and powdered beverages. The company comprises the global snacking and food brands of the former Kraft Foods Inc. following the spin-off of its North American grocery operations in October 2012.
