ESTRANGED couple actress Kris Aquino and basketball superstar James Yap on Monday agreed on the terms of the latter’s visits to their child James Jr. or Bimby.
The agreement was reached during the hearing of the petition filed by Yap seeking for the transfer of the venue of his visits to son Bimby at the Makati Regional Court 140.
Emerging from the courtroom after almost two hours being there, both Aquino and Yap expressed satisfaction with the decision of Judge Cristina Sulit.
However, they both refused to give more details on the hearing as the court issued a gag order against them.
In welcoming the decision of the court, Aquino said this would indeed benefit her child.
“I think the decision of Judge Sulit today, ang inayos niyang [she is ironing out the]agreement between both parties, would really benefit my son very much and I’m grateful to her,” Kris said in an interview with reporters.
She also thanked both her lawyer, Atty. Raymond Fortun, and James’ lead counsel, Atty. Lorna Kapunan.
Yap’s camp had filed an urgent motion to transfer the venue of his visits to his son claiming that his ex-wife is determined to make the visits difficult for the basketball star.
James wanted to see Bimby immediately after a Makati court denied Kris’ petition to bar him from meeting their son.
Kris instead filed a motion demanding to see the findings of the psychologist and the social worker evaluated the relationship of father and son.
