Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), in celebration of Buwan ng Panitikan or Literature Month in April, invites student applicants for the 2016 Kampo Balagtas happening from April 1 to 3 at Orion Elementary School, Orion, Bataan.
Kampo Balagtas is a national conference seeking to teach and train select student writers in creative writing as part of the move to encourage the development and enrichment of national literature. The camp-cum-conference is part of KWF’s annual celebration of Araw ni Balagtas, commemorated every April 2.
Kampo Balagtas is open to Grade 7 to Grade 11 students who are members and have published their works on their campus or school’s official paper. Food, accommodation and transportation expenses of the delegates will be shouldered by KWF.
Schools with interested participants must submit three of their best campus paper issues at the KWF Office located at Watson Building, J.P. Laurel St., Malacanang Complex, San Miguel, Manila. Student participants will be selected based on the submitted issues.
Application forms may be downloaded at the KWF website (www.kwf.gov.ph) Deadline of application is on January 17, 2016.
