La Salle faces Siliman in UniGames today


De La Salle University (DLSU) will face home team Siliman University (SU) in the preliminary round of the Philippine University Games (UniGames) at the Perdices Coliseum in Dumaguete at 1:30 p.m. today.

La Salle, a University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) club is expected to bank on their experience playing in the country’s top collegiate league in their campaign to end a title drought.

On the other hand, the SU Stallions are making a return to the UniGames after missing the previous four editions of the meet.

Meanwhile, reigning UAAP champion University of the Philippines will battle College of Saint Benilde in the second game at 3 p.m.

UP will be relying on the trio of Kintaro Miyagi, JB Borlongan and Kyle Magdato as they try to snuff the Blazers.

Azkal standout and team skipper Daniel Gadia will be on deck to fortify the midfield of the team of head coach Andres Gonzales.

Saint Benilde will lean on prolific scorer Carmelo Genco with the support of Valentino Calvo in their quest to topple the collegiate football giants.
