ORGANIZED labor threatened to go on strike in the face of the rising cost of living as a result of the sudden uptick of inflation and drop of the purchasing power of minimum wage earners.
The Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino-National Capital Region (NCR)- Rizal (BMP-NCRR) and the Metro East Labor Federation (MELF), among other labor groups, issued the call in a last ditch effort to seek redress of their grievances, saying that they have filed a "notice of strike" before the Malacanang Palace.
