• Lady Maroons tackle Fuego EspaÑa in PFF WL

    Reigning University Athletic Association of the Philippines champion University of the Philippines takes on Fuego España FC in the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Women’s League at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Saturday.

    The game is at 2 p.m.

    After to local club Outkast FC, 2-0, in the previous game, the Lady Maroons will be looking to get back on track as they face Fuego Espana.

    The Lady Maroons previously won in the meeting with Green Archers United FC, 3-1, through the hat trick performance of Mary Rose Obra on November 13.

    On the other hand, Fuego Espana FC is still on the run to clinch their debut victory in the tournament following defeats against University of Santo Tomas (UST), 0-7, and The Younghusband Football Academy, 0-2.

    Outkast FC will be facing the ladies of Green Archers United in the second match of the double-header at 4:30 p.m.

    Outkast is currently seated in the third seed of the provisional standings for the first round with a win and a draw while Green Archers United is at fourth place with a win and a loss.

    Meanwhile, the UST Lady Tigresses lead the standings in the early part of the opening round of the tourney with two straight wins together with a five-point advantage on goal difference against second seeds De La Salle University, who also had two victories on their card.
