THE Kickboxing Association of the Philippines (KAP) is sending its best martial artist Rodelito Lamoste to the prestigious 10th World Thai Martial Arts Festival scheduled on March 17 to 20 in Ayutthaya City, Thailand.
According to KAP President Master Rolando Catoy, the invitation was sent by Association Institute Thai Martial Art head Channarong Suhongsa and Branko Grimsi. The tournament supported by Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports will be participated in by the top martial artists from different parts of the world.
“Our best bet is Lamoste. He’s a talented kickboxer who is a contender in 60 kilogram division. I’m optimistic that he will deliver and bring home honors and prestige for our country,” said Catoy, who clarified that KAP is not under the umbrella of Muay Association of the Philippines.
Before the tournament proper, the Governor of Autthaya City will host the celebration of Wai Kru Ceremony and Naikhanom Day and the Thailand Martial Arts Festival kick off at the City of Ayutthaya Stadium.
“We want to extend acknowledgement to all concern who supported our cause in promoting the sport. We are aiming to win and be proud as a Filipino in the annual Thai Martial Arts Festival,” said Catoy.
