LAGUINDINGAN, Misamis Oriental: Rep. Vicente “Barf” Belmonte of Lanao Del Norte survived an ambuscade in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental Thursday afternoon, a police report said.
Initial police investigation disclosed that Belmonte was on his way to the highway from the Laguindingan Airport when waylaid by armed men. The lawmaker's vehicle was then leading a convoy.
