Teen stars Bea Binene and Jake Vargas will make primetime
viewing even sweeter as they star in the upcoming series, Strawberry Lane. But make no mistake, Bea and Jake’s characters in the light family drama will not only leave fans swooning—but will also inspire and tug at the heartstrings.
Guaranteed to awe and delight viewers, Strawberry Lane shows how the youth can rise above their generation’s tough realities.
Bea’s character is Clarissa, a 17-year-old who aspires to become a fashion designer. Although she’s not privileged, Clarissa maintains a bright disposition in life. Her optimism fades when her loved one suffers an illness. To make ends meet, Bea’s character resorts to stealing. She will end up in Angel’s Haven, a complex for juvenile delinquents, where she meets Gabo.
Gabo (Jake) is an 18-year-old guy who is part of the cleaning crew at Angel’s Haven. He befriends Clarissa and eventually finds himself secretly falling for her. Like Clarissa, Gabo also has to cope with his own personal baggage. For one, he has a drunkard for a father. This compels him to act as the responsible one and tend to the needs of his family.
For the on and off-screen pair, their latest project inspires them to continue to be at their best as a love team. The real life couple was dubbed as the “Most Promising Love Team for Movies and TV” at the 42nd Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Awards, and “Celebrity Couple of the Year” at the 2014 Yahoo! Celebrity Awards in July.
Strawberry Lane will premiere this September on GMA Network.
