Lawmen haul three drug dealers, P300M in ‘shabu’


POLICE operatives have arrested three Chinese and seized from them some P300-million worth of illegal drugs after a series of operations Tuesday night in Manila and Cavite, a police official said on Wednesday.

Reports at the Philippine National Police (PNP) operations center in Camp Crame identified the three Chinese arrested for illegal drug activities as Yang Mou Yu alias “Yeng”; Cai Chun Yuan alias “Chua” and Xu Jian Ye.

PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Force legal officer, Chief Insp. Roque Maer-deguia said that their operatives where able to seized from the three some P300-million worth of shabu.

The police official said that undercover operatives arrested Cai and Yang on Tuesday night at a condominium unit in Binondo, Manila. The operatives also seized a kilo of shabu worth P2.2 million.

The police official said that a search warrant issued by the court covered the operations that resulted in the arrest of the two suspects, but one suspect, Xu managed to escape after sensing police presence in the area.

Merdeguia said that Xu was eventually arrested by their operatives following a follow-up operation that led the police team to the group’s suspected hideout at Barangay De Ocampo, Trece Martires, Cavite.

The police official said that around 20 kilos of shabu was discovered inside the trunk of Xu’s vehicle.
