Lazada Philippines, a part of Lazada Group that operates Southeast Asia online shopping and selling destination, has announced a three-day sale on March 24 to 26, a company official said on Thursday.
Lazada Chief Executive Officer Inanc Balci said the company has entered into partnership with 60 express transport and courier services across Asia to provide customers quick and reliable delivery.
“Looking ahead, Lazada will continue to focus on increasing assortment range, expand our logistics infrastructure and payment solutions to further enhance the effortless shopping experience for our customers,” Balci said.
Lazada, which was launched in March 2012, has over 4,000 employees across the region and has raised 520 million euros in funding from leading sector specialists and investors including Temasek, Tesco, JP Morgan, Kinnevik and Rocket Internet.
Its sites and mobile applications saw over 40 million visitors last December. The company’s focus has been to provide secure and reliable one-stop shopping experience for its customers.
The company claimed it has direct access to approximately 550 million consumers in six countries through one retail channel and the number of sellers on its marketplace platform, which now accounts for approximately 75 percent of overall sales, crossed 10,000 in December 2014.
The company said it has eight warehouses and a dedicated Lazada Express last mile delivery fleet with 50 hubs covering 80 cities.
Lazada.com.ph had 18 million visits in December 2014. The company reached more than 1,600 sellers in February 2015.
