• League probes fight video involving Jaguars’ Fowler

LOS ANGELES: The NFL is reviewing the circumstances surrounding a video published on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) by TMZ showing Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler watching a fight between two women.

Fowler issued a statement on Tuesday saying he was “embarrassed” about the incident, which TMZ said took place at a Florida apartment complex on February 1.

According to the celebrity news website, the women involved are Fowler’s girlfriend and the mother of his child.

“These are disturbing images and we will review the matter,” an NFL spokesperson told NFL.com.

The security camera video shows Fowler standing by as the women come to blows before eventually stepping in to break up the altercation.

“I am embarrassed and have apologized for my actions to everyone involved,” Fowler said. “As a family, we have been dealing with this moment and the conflict that led to it since this occurred.

“This video surfacing is a sad reminder that emotions got the best of all of us. I take 100 percent responsibility for everything that happened.”

The Jaguars said they are also looking into the matter.

Fowler was the third overall selection in the 2015 NFL draft, but missed last season after tearing a knee ligament on the first day of rookie training camp in May.
