League sets regular-season attendance record

LOS ANGELES: The NBA set a record for regular-season attendance in the just-concluded 2014-15 campaign, drawing a total of 21.9 million fans, the league announced on Thursday (Friday in Manila). The average attendance per game was 17,826, on average arenas were 94 percent full and 700 games were sell-outs— all records.  The 2.4 percent increase over last year’s attendance is the highest year-over-year percentage jump since the 1995-96 season.
