Learn more at Haribon

Summer is over and the rains have started, so we begin our indoor activities.

For June, Haribon’s Membership Division will once again hold the Biodiversity Conservation (BC) Learning Sessions, running for third year in a row.

Learning Sessions are held on the last Saturdays of each month starting on June 29, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Haribon office.

Participants will increase their knowledge and skills on biodiversity conservation to help them become effective advocates for the environment. Moreover, they will also learn about facilitation, enabling them to volunteer as resource persons for Haribon training activities and learning sessions for co-members and other partners.

The schedule is as follows:

June 29 – Module 1: Web of Life (Appreciating Ecology)

July 27 – Modules 2 & 3: I heart Philippines (Philippine Biodiversity)

August 31 – Module 4: Beat the Heat! (Climate Change Challenges)

September 28 – Module 5: Facilitation

After completing all the BC modules, participants will receive a small token and Certificate of Completion.

The schedule and topics for subsequent learning sessions will be announced at a later date.

Haribon Membership is required to sign up and attend learning sessions.

If you’re a Kikiro member or up, all Haribon Learning Sessions are free. While for Haribon Pipit and Kibid members, the cost is P200 per Learning Session.
