University of Santo Tomas star Charissa Lemoran leads the pack of top scorers after the initial four weeks of action in the first round of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Women’s League 2016.
The sophomore Lady Tigress played a vital role in the two-game streak of UST in their first three games, garnering a total of eight goals for the tournament’s fourth seeds.
Lemoran was off to a bright start in the competition after clinching a hat trick against Fuego Espana FC in the lopsided 7-0 victory against the newbie club.
She once again exploded in their second game with an impressive five-goal haul as the Thomasian ladies demolished the young Kaya FC, 8-1, last December 3.
On the other hand, De La Salle University standout Kyra Dimaandal follows closely in the race for the scoring champion with a total of seven goals on her belt.
Dimaandal made her mark among the top strikers in the premier women’s football tournament in the country after notching four goals in their 6-0 win over rivals Ateneo de Manila University.
University of the Philippines’ Mary Rose Obra, who already booked two hat tricks early in the season, is at third place with six goals for her side.
Rounding up the top five strikers is Green Archers United FC’s Alisha Del Campo and La Salle’s Sara Castaneda, who currently have five and four goals to their names, respectively.
