The road is not easy, but the journey will be fruitful as Colegio de San Juan de Letran prepares itself for their grand Quadricentenial Celebration with four years full of projects and activities starting on November until the institution’s 400th year in 2020.
“Four years, months, weeks, minutes, and seconds” is the main theme for this year’s celebration. Letranites new and old will be given several activities and programs in preparation for the impending 400th year.
The colegio formed an executive body that will overlook the festivities and activities during the four yearlong celebration. An expanded committee was formed in order to facilitate activities and programs depending on their respective sectors. The eight sectors of the expanded committee are the Academics, the Spiritual, Research, Funds, Infrastructure, Community Service, Student Service, and the Alumni. Each of these sectors will provide activities and projects that will help the Colegio keep the hype up for its Quadricentenial Year.
These sectors will provide several activities that would be in line in their specialization. With a goal of reaching P40 million in donation, activities and projects are proposed with the further improvement of the school and the welfare of the students, faculty, and staff in mind. These activities will be done starting 2016 up until the grand celebration in 2020.
