LEYTE Bridge rehab on schedule

Agas-Agas, Sogod: The rehabilitation of piers and abutment protection of Agas-agas Bridge in Sogod, Southern Leyte is 45 percent complete—more than the planned accomplishment for the period, Project Engineer Erlinda P. Cruz reported to District Engineer Ma. Margarita C. Junia, DPWH Southern Leyte district manager. The project includes the installation of gabions and stone masonry along the bridge, which will serve as slope protection especially during the rainy season. The P 46.64 Million project commenced last April 6, 2015 and is expected to be completed before the year ends, if the weather is good.
