Global technology innovator LG Electronics concluded the first half of the year with strong market growth in the competitive industry of mobile devices.
On a global scale, LG Mobile has claimed a spot among the top three smartphone manufacturers. In the Philippines, the Korean electronics giant is steadily growing, able to sustain its standing as the number two smartphone brand.
The success of Mobile World Congress’ Most Innovative Manufacturer of the Year was largely attributed to the lineup of premium models launched since 2013.
The LG G2, dubbed as the “Best Smartphone in the World” by the Stuff Magazine, was launched in the Philippines in September 2013 and has since sustained its market momentum.
The LG G Pro 2, a powerful tablet known for its staggering 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display, made its local debut in April and contributes to a robust number of sales as well.
Adding to LG’s impressive roster of mobile devices in 2014 is the newly launched LG G3, the successor of the G2 and LG Mobile’s newest flagship smartphone to date.
Communicating the insight that “simple is the new smart,” the LG G3 offers even more advanced and refined features than the G2, letting expectations reach an all-new level.
“Since its global reveal in six cities—London, San Francisco, Singapore, Seoul, New York, and Istanbul—on May 28, the LG G3 is said to be hitting triple of the LG G2 sales last year,” Lawrence Kim, vice president of LG Philippines’ Mobile division, said.
