NEW YORK CITY: The Libyan al-Qaeda suspect recently captured by United States (US) troops was back in a New York courtroom on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) where his lawyer demanded at least six months to prepare his defense.

Anas al-Libi, 49, has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges over the 1998 al-Qaeda bombings of US embassies in East Africa that killed 244 people and wounded more than 5,000 others.
