The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has revoked the licenses of 11 recruitment agencies in the country for not meeting the deadline for renewing or upgrading licenses.
In an interview, POEA Chief Hans Leo Cacdac said the revocation of their licenses was final.
Cacdac added that the 11 recruitments firms were no longer allowed to complete their requirements.
POEA records show that seven agencies were delisted for failure to upgrade their provisional licenses to full licenses within the prescribed period.
Among the delisted agencies are Summit Placement and Resources Transfer Corp.; BLT Global Manpower Services Inc.; Amirah Umaimah Human Resources Inc.; Human Resources Overseas Employment Agency Inc.; A & S Manpower Resources Inc.; Global Hospitality Placement Agency Philippines Corp.; and ETT Innovative Manpower Solutions Inc.
Meanwhile, Transnational Resources Inc. and IDC Manpower Services Inc. were delisted by the POEA for failure to submit applications for renewal of their licenses within the prescribed period.
Also, Kookies International Recruitment Agency Inc. and FMR-1990 Staffing Services Inc. were delisted due to suspension prior to the expiration of their licenses.
However, Cacdac clarified that the operators of the delisted firms can still re-open new recruitment agencies as long as they abide with the POEA rules.
He pointed out that the operators were not blacklisted by the POEA.
“They were not blacklisted because their licenses were not cancelled for violation of POEA rules,” Cacdac said.
