Lifestyle check crucial to anti-corruption drive

The Department of Finance has taken a further step in the right direction by pursuing lifestyle checks on 70 of its executives this year, and saying it will keep on adding 10 more names to the list every month to rid this government agency of corrupt officials.

This should pace up the Duterte government’s anti-corruption drive for the entire bureaucracy throughout the country, especially if this administration seriously wants to ensure a sustainable legacy of good governance through the end of its term.
