The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday said fair weather is to be expected though the public is still advised to bring umbrellas with them to the cemeteries because of cloudy skies with possible light rainshowers.

Weather forecaster Gener Quitlong said Typhoon Vinta has maintained its strength and is now off the coast of Ilocos Norte though it continues to affect northern Luzon.
