• Light rains to prevail over parts of Visayas, Mindanao on Tuesday

Expect cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers over parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to diffused tail-end of cold front affecting Mindanao, while cold weather is expected over parts of Luzon due to the presence of Northeast Monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday.

In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Glaiza Escullar said Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Central Visayas and the provinces of Leyte and Negros Occidental will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

With presence of northeast monsoon, Escullar said, Luzon including Metro Manila will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains while the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

No weather disturbance was seen near in the country within the next the three days.

With the weakening northeast monsoon, the weather bureau also has not issued gale warning as fisherfolks are safe to venture over the seas.

In its advisory, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas. PNA
