Two-time National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star player Damian Lillard will visit the Philippines on June 14, via Adidas’ Take on Summer tour.
“My approach to basketball has always been this; you can only get out of the game what you put in —and that’s what Take on Summer is all about,” said the Portland Trail Blazers point guard Lillard in a press statement.
The 25-year old Lillard was Portland’s sixth overall pick during the 2012 NBA draft.
Inspired by the grueling off-season training that prepares the game’s best for the upcoming season, the latest Adidas basketball tours will connect millions of fans with their favorite players.
“That’s the mentality I bring to my training and being able to share that attitude overseas to fans and players is an honor. I’m excited to get back to China, Taiwan and the Philippines to spend time with some of the best hoops fans in the world,” added the 2013 NBA Rookie of the Year.
Lillard posted career-high 25.1 points and 6.8 assists last season. He will be in Beijing, China from June 9 to 10, Chengdu, also in China from June 11 to 12 and Taipei, Taiwan on June 13. Manila will be Lillard’s last stop.
Fans who will attend the Take on Summer tour will have an opportunity to meet and interact with Lillard during demonstrations, games, and in-store appearances.
Besides Lillard, Charlotte Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin and Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will also join Take on Summer tours in Asia.
