The country’s top junior netter Albert Lim Jr. left for the US on Friday to compete in two major tournaments in Florida.
Lim, who is No. 38 in the ITF Juniors rankings, will see action in the Eddie Herr ITF tournament slated to be held from November 28 to December 4 at the IMG Academy clay courts.
The 17-year-old college freshman at the University of the East-Manila will also play in the Metropolia Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship to be held at the Frank Veltri Tennis Center in Plantation Central Park on December 5 to 11.
Lim joined the first leg of the Phinma-PSC International Juniors two weeks ago, reaching the doubles semifinal with Filipino-Spanish Diego Garcia Dalisay.
Lim also took part in the Seogwipo Asia-Oceania Junior Tennis Championships in South Korea from October 31 to November 6 and the Osaka Mayor’s Cup-World Super Junior Tennis Championships on October 17 to 23.
He has competed in the Junior Australian Open, French Open and US Open this year.
