In celebration of the Chinese New Year, Spotify, with the help of its in-house Asian music experts, launches an exclusive curated playlist featuring artists born in the Year of the Monkey.
The playlist features local artists like Shehyee and Jed Madela, as well as international chart-toppers Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith.
Artists born in this zodiac year are said to be clever, talented and sometimes cheeky.
“Great music always goes hand in hand with celebrations. As we welcome the Year of the Monkey, we’re delighted to reveal the songs that music fans all over the world enjoy during this wonderful season,” said Sunita Kaur, managing director, Spotify (Asia).
Here’s Spotify’s Year of the Monkey playlist: Shehyee’s “Salamangka;” Jed Madela’s “Didn’t We Almost Have It All;” EXO’s “Call Me Baby;” Selena Gomez’s “ Same Old Love;” Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop;” Demi Lovato’s “Confident;” Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One;” Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap;” Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful;” and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.”
“We’re looking forward to bringing you more of the hits you love through our carefully curated playlists that showcase the best of Asian and global favorites,” Kaur ended.
