Ambassadors’ wives to stage charity concert for Tacloban City
The International Bazaar Foundation (IBF) and the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) together with the New World Makati Hotel, are working hand in hand to stage a one-night concert for the benefit of Yolanda survivors in Tacloban City, Leyte.

Entitled World of Music, the must-see musical event is set on June 17, 7:30 p.m. at the New World Hotel in Makati City. Cocktails is at 5:30 p.m. As a fund-raising project, it aims to aid Tacloban communities affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda.

World-class performers like Jed Madela, Jay Cayuca, The Minstrels (Ding Mercado and Eugene Villaluz) The Circus Band (Pat Castillo and Jacqui Magno), RachelleGerodias, Jonathan Badon, and the champions from the World Championships of the Performing Arts, among others, will be providing music of the world.

The ambassadors and their spouses will also have a special participation as a show of support for the project. They are all eager to participate and show the Filipino people that they are one with us not only in good times but more so in times of need.

The proceeds will go to the rehabilitation of Divine Word Hospital in Tacloban.

The IBF is headed by its chairman, Mme. Gretchen del Rosario, spouse of the Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, while rvent chairman is Consul General of Monaco Fortune Ledesma. Helping them are IBF’s president Penny Farolan, vice president Bambina Buenaventura, corporate secretary Rose Marie Villamor, treasurer Alice Guerrero, and directors Marge Tambunting, Olivia Romulo, Marion Coscolluela, Nora Salazar and Blesila Cabrera.

The SHOM officers are Madames Omolara Evelyn Farounbi (Nigeria), president; Isabelle Garachon (France), vice president; Margaret Ledoux (European Union), secretary; Marie Won Wha Soon (Korea), treasurer; Dinh Thi Thu Houng (Vietnam), membership officer; and Gracita Sieber (Switzerland), Mano Hirubalan (Singapore), and Eti Bar-on (Israel), advisers.
