The dead bodies of a man and a woman were found stuffed in a blue plastic drum that was found floating in an estero in Manila on Thursday morning.
Police identified the victims as Rodel Resera, 29, jobless, and Pitche Resera, 40, of Palo Alto Street, Habay, Bacoor City, Cavite.
The drum was found in Estero de San Miguel, located in 14 Fraternal Street, Quiapo, Manila.
Resera’s head was wrapped in packaging tape, while his body had several stab wounds. The man was about 5-foot-7, was wearing a gray sando shirt, checkered short pants, and had a tattoo of the face of Mother Mary.
Resera’s mother, Susan de Jesus, positively identified the victims.
De Jesus said the two left Bacoor for Quiapo sometime in March 30 accompanied by a certain Jamal Habsa of Shophen Village, Habay 1, Bacoor City.
Police are still looking for Habsa.
