The local markets by noon session today slightly went up but with other sectoral indices settling in both negatives and positives.
Opening the early trading in red, the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose slightly by 0.68 percent or 42.05 points to 6,256.95. Broader all shares index was also up by 0.66 percent or 24.80 points to 3,799.19.
Financials and industrial were negative: Financials decreased a little by 0.07 percent or 1.12 points to 1,486.37, as well as industrial by a mere 0.01 percent or 0.080 points to 9,563.53.
On the other hand, holding firms and services went up—holding firms added 1.69 points or 92.60 percent to 5,584.97 and services gained 0.17 points or 3.40 percent to 1,971.82.
Mining and oil improved by 0.81 percent or 107.98 points to 13,465.89 while property expanded by 0.60 percent or 14.09 points to 2,358.48.
On Wednesday, the PSEi gained 125.18 points or 2.06 percent to 6,214.90, while wider all shares index added 53.86 points or 1.45 percent to 3,774.39. KRISTYN NIKA M. LAZO
