The Philippine benchmark index was down slightly by market recess in noon, retreating to the 6,700 point.
The Philippine stock exchange index decreased by 0.39 percent or 26.16 points to 6,773.96, while the wider all shares index on the other hand dipped by 0.32 percent or 13.08 points to 4,120.03.
Among the sectoral indices, industrials and mining and oil are the only ones that increased, with industrials gaining 98.94 points or 0.99 percent to 10,133.66, while mining and oil accumulating 2.22 points or 0.01 percent to 14,805.38.
Financials slid by 1.26 percent or 20.59 points to 1,607.80; holding firms descended by 0.29 percent or 17.91 points to 6,247.31; services down by 0.45 percent or 9.35 points to 2,049.04; and property slumped by 0.61 percent or 16.38 points to 2,676.88.
Majority of the most actively traded shares by midday received a decline which include Metrobank, Security Bank, Ayala Land, Ayala Corp. and BDO Unibank among others.
