Riding with Wall Street’s and Asian markets’ reserved gains, the
Philippine Stock Exchange index took on a recess this morning with a
0.38-percent increase, or 24.73 points to end at 6,504.85.
The wider all shares was likewise in green, gaining 21.13 points, or
0.53 percent to 3,974.48.
All the sector indices registered gains with mining and oil rising
significantly by 4.39 percent, or 603.05 points to 14,333.81. The rest
posted slight gains.
Total value turnover was still at P2.31 billion. Market breadth was a
little change as advancers outnumbered decliners, 100 to 42.

Manila Electric Company, LT Group Inc., Philippine Long Distance
