Longines celebrated the grand opening of its first monobrand boutique in the Philippines on March 3.

Representatives from Longines’ headquarters in Switzerland attended the special event hosted by the Lucerne Group. Taiwanese movie star, singer and performer, Eddie Peng, also flew in for the special occasion as Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place among an intimate group of special guests at the SM Megamall Mega Fashion Hall in Pasig City. It was led by Peng, Switzerland-based Charles Villoz, vice president of Longines and head of International Sales, Swiss Ambassador to the Philippines Ivo Sieber, Mayor Benjamin Abalos Jr., Ivan Yao, president of the Lucerne group, and Emerson Yao, managing director of the Lucerne group.

Making his first appearance in Manila, Peng joins top actors Simon Baker and Kate Winslet as a member of the Longines family.

“I am happy to be here to help celebrate this momentous occasion with Longines,” said the 32-yr-old actor. He then had an autograph-signing ceremony at the boutique’s floor-to-ceiling poster featuring him with an elegant Longines watch from the Conquest Classic collection, a line dedicated to Longines watchmaking tradition and passion for equestrian sports.
