    Guests and patrons of Casino Filipino venues nationwide can look forward to a month of love, laughter and music this February in special shows featuring some of the country’s best known artists from the 1980s.

    Bong Quintana, assistant vice president of Pagcor’s Entertainment Department, said Casino Filipino offers a love-filled month for its guests and visitors. “Since this is the most romantic season of the year, we want to give them the opportunity to listen to their favorite love songs and to be serenaded by our country’s well-loved balladeers,” he added.

    Dubbed the “Carnival of Hearts,” the month-long series of live shows was launched on February 5 at different Casino Filipino (CF) with such artists as Marco Sison, Gino Padilla, Richard Reynoso, Victor Wood, Jojo Alejar, and Keanna Reeves.

    Besides, the ‘80s gang, Bossa nova queen Sitti Navarro and Acoustic Pop Prince Nyoy Volante will go on a nationwide concert tour at the following branches: Sitti at the Pavilion (February 20), Olongapo (February 27), and Casino Filipino Parañaque (February 28); and Nyoy at L’ Fisher Hotel Bacolod (February 14), Davao (February 15), Cebu (February 16), Hyatt (February 20) and Tagaytay (February 21).

    Other celebrity performers at Casino Filipino include Aicelle Santos (Binondo Satellite Manila, February 14; and Mactan Satellite, February 22); Jimmy Bondoc (Lancaster Satellite, February 14); Kris Lawrence (365 Plaza Satellite-San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, February 14); Agot Isidro (Pavilion, February 14 and Parañaque, February 22); Luke Mejares (Ronquillo Satellite, February 15); Moonstar 88 Band (Tagaytay, February 15); Denise Laurel (Madison Satellite, February 21); and Callalily (Olongapo, February 26).

    Also watch out for the “Casino Filipino Game Show” with Carlos Agassi (Angeles, February 12); Hansen Nichols with D&G Dancers (Hyatt, February 13); Frenchie Dy (Davao, February 14); Markki Stroem (Cebu, February 15); Andrea del Rosario (L’ Fisher Hotel Bacolod, February 21); and Bugoy Drilon (Pavilion, February 28).

    As for Casino Filipino’s home grown talents, Not Your Ordinary Boys and Girls (NYOBG) and Krazy Chikz will also have a series of shows on February 14 (Angeles); February 15 (Airport Casino Filipino); February 21 (Pavilion) and February 22 (Olongapo).
