THE average weekly crime rate in Metro Manila dropped 29.29 percent in early 2018, with May recording “the lowest” since July 2016 under the Duterte administration based on police data released on Friday.
In a press briefing, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Camilo Cascolan said the April 16 to May 20 figures focused on eight crimes – physical injury, motorcycle theft, robbery, theft, car theft, rape, murder and homicide.
