LOYOLA Sparks and Kaya’s match yielded a 2-2 draw late Monday night while Ceres-La Salle thumped Laos Football Club, 1-0, to gain semifinal spots in the Philippine Football Federation National Club Championship at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
Miguel Tanton showed aggressiveness in the early part of match as he nailed a 23rd minute goal to give Kaya the lead but Loyola’s Matthew Hartmann immediately tied the score to 1-1 after a goal in the 24th minute.
Loyola posted a 2-1 lead at halftime through the 35th minute goal of Phil Younghusband. But Kaya’s Jovin Bedic notched a game-tying goal at the 65th minute mark
Loyola ended with seven points in Group A to arrange a Final Four duel with the second place finisher between Global FC and Stallion FC in Group B. Last Saturday, Loyola upset La Salle, 1-0.
Meanwhile, Patrick Reichelt scored a goal in the 55th minute mark to power La Salle-Ceres’ 1-0 win over Laos FC. La Salle Ceres currently has six points.
