• LP bares Senate bets


    An Assistant Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government and a party-list lawmaker completed the Senate slate of the Liberal Party.

    Ina Ambulogto and party-list Rep. Cresente Paez of Coop-Natcco party-list joined the big names on the list that include Senators Franklin Drilon, Ralph Recto, TG Guingona, former Senators Francis Pangilinan, Panfilo Lacson and Rodolfo Biazon, as well as former Pampanga Gov. Mark Lapid, former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, ex-Director General Joel Villanueva of the Techinical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Philhealth director Risa Hontiveros who is running for senator for the third time.

    Ambulogto, a Muslim, is a nongovernment-organization worker .

    Paez, on the other hand, is on his third and last term as a party-list representative.

    The Senate slate of the ruling party will be officially announced  today.
    The LP team, led by standard bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas 2nd and runningmate Camarines Sur. Rep. Leni Robredo is dubbed Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid.

    1. None of Liberal Party should get elected, The LP looted the country the past 5 years doing nothing but enriching themselves and the top 1%.

      Useless incompetent thieves, the country does not need another 6 years of their delusions and looting.

    2. At least we have 2 LP candidates who we can gamble with to be possibly positively different from the 10 others who are all hopeless and beyond redemption. But still why even gamble in a decisions as important as this ?
