The low pressure area (LPA) which is now spotted at 60 kilometers north of Butuan City continue to ground domestic flights as of Tuesday, the Manila International Authority-Media Affairs Division said.
The weather disturbance affected at least six flights as of 8 a.m. They are Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro City and back with flight numbers 5J-381/382, 5J-397/398, and 5J-519/520.
The first flight should have left Manila at 4:40 a.m. and arrive back at 8:10 a.m., the second one was scheduled for departure at 6:55 a.m. and arrive Manila at 10:30 a.m., while the third flight was supposed to fly at 5:15 a.m. and return to Manila at 9 a.m.
Domestic flights heading for some parts of the Visayas and Mindanao regions have been cancelled since Saturday due to poor weather conditions. PNA
