• LPA continues to bring rains over Central, Southern Luzon

Cloudy and rainy weather will continue to prevail over parts of Luzon on Monday due to low pressure area (LPA) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said that as of 4 a.m. Monday, the LPA was spotted some 330 km east southeast of Baler, Aurora (15.3°N, 124.6°E) embedded along ITCZ affecting Central and Southern Luzon.
According to PAGASA weather forecaster Shaira Nonot, the LPA has slim chance to intensify into tropical cyclone.
Nonot said two to four tropical cyclones might visit the country this month of September.
She said the next tropical cyclone to enter the country would be named “Jenny.”
In its Monday forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Central Luzon and the provinces of Quezon, Quirino and Isabela while fair weather or partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country including Metro Manila
Light winds blowing from the northeast and variable will prevail over eastern Luzon and coming from the southwest to west over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. PNA
