A low pressure area (LPA) hovering near Eastern Samar will bring rains to most parts of the country until Tuesday.
PAGASA said Sunday that as of 4 a.m., the LPA embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) was spotted at 810 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
The weather disturbance has a high chance of intensifying into a tropical depression. If it does, it will be named “Quedan” – the 17th storm to visit the country this year.
Because of the LPA, Mimaropa, Visayas and Mindanao will be cloudy with passing light to moderate rains until Tuesday.
The rest of Luzon including Metro Manila will be sunny to partly cloudy skies with isolated rains.
