Fair weather is expected in most parts of the country except in Mindanao, which is threatened by a low pressure area (LPA) that entered the country Sunday morning.
As of 4 a.m., the LPA, embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), was tracked 870 kilometers east of Mindanao.
Northern Mindanao and the regions of Caraga and Davao will be cloudy with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will cloudy with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
The LPA is not likely to intensify into a tropical depression but if it does it will locally be named “Wilma”, the the 23rd cyclone to enter the country this year.
PAGASA expects two or three cyclones this month.
