• LTFRB ASKED TO INSPECT ALL PUVS IN METRO MANILA

    THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) was asked to inspect all public utility vehicles operating in Metro Manila to ensure their road worthiness and prevent more road accidents. Rep. Winston “Winnie” Castelo (Liberal Party, QC District 2 wrote the LTFRB on February 10 urging LTFRB chairman Winston Ginez, Castelo, chairman of the House Committee on Metro Manila Development, to complete the public utility vehicles inspection for roadworthiness to ensure, first and foremost, the safety of the general riding public. Castelo also urged Ginez to continue working with the Land Transportation Office to revive programs on periodic or random drug test among drivers of public utility vehicles to step up public safety awareness.
