• LTFRB cancels franchise, fines bus company

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday said they are revoking the franchise of Everlasting Transport Co. bus units and will fine them P1 million due to “out of line operations.” Bus company G.V Florida Transport Inc. complained to the LTFRB that they were affected by the out of line operations of Everlasting Transport. They told the LTFRB that since 2011 to present, especially during holidays and semestral breaks of colleges and universities, Everlasting Transport is plying Cubao, Sampaloc, Fairview to Sta. Ana, Cagayan that are far from the company’s original route of Santiago, Isabela to Balinatawak, Quezon City. Traffic enforcers of the Land Transportation Office, the Metro Manila Development Authority, and the Highway Patrol Group were directed by the LTFRB to enforce the order or cause the apprehension of any of the authorized bus units of Everlasting Transport Co.
