LTFRB penalizes 2 bus firms

THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday said they have imposed penalty against two bus companies for operating without special permits and bearing incorrect route markings during the Christmas season last December. Ordered to pay P1 million fine were Dimple Star Transport with the cancellation of Certificate of Public Convenience for its 10 PUB units; and the CUL Transport with its six buses. Operators Hilbert Napat of Dimple Star and Carolina U. Lam of CUL Transport were ordered to surrender all the yellow plates of the bus. The 10 units of Dimple Star and the six units of CUL are now blacklisted from being used as public utility vehicle, while the registrations of the PUB units are revoked.
