THE Luzon grid will be placed on yellow alert for four hours today due to limited generation capacity, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said on Friday.

The yellow alert will be up in the region from 12 noon to 4 p.m. "due to the unexpected shutdown and limited generation of some power plants, and high power demand," the grid operator said in its text advisory.
