At 85 years old, Rep. Imelda Marcos seems to be the same when she was still the First Lady of the Philippines five decades ago—beautiful and regal.

On July 7, Muebles Italiano owner Noel Gonzales and his lovely wife Aileen hosted a party to celebrate her 85th birthday. And Imelda was in her singing and dancing mood.

The part was held at the Tipsy Pig Gastropub, one of the first restaurants to open at the Capitol Commons in Pasig City. Noel’s son architect Ton Gonzales is one of the owners.

The place is known for its signature brews and good food by singing chef Rainier Barbers, who indeed serenaded the celebrant.

Guests led by Gov. Chavit Singson and Rep. Ferjenel Biron enjoyed the different dishes served. Also present were Aficionado owner Joel Cruz who presented a beautiful birthday present with famous signature shoes studded with crystals.

Manila piano owner Willem Suidjam came with exotic beauty Gina Ronquillo. Applauding were Kathy Manuntag, Charu Yu, Remar De Leon and London based Minda Feliciano Lonsdale.

Famous balladeer Arthur Manuntag led the guests’ singing. Dr. George Sarakinis did a Tagalog duet with Madame Imelda herself and Noel.

It was truly a fun evening to remember.
