A magnitude-3.8 earthquake jolted the province of Pampanga on Friday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, the agency said the tremor occurred at 12:13 a.m. with its epicenter traced 12 kilometers northwest of Porac town in Pampanga.
Phivolcs said the temblor, which was tectonic in origin, had a shallow depth of 188 kilometers.
The agency noted that there was no casualty or damage reported from the quake.
Phivolcs further noted that aftershocks were not expected as well. PNA
